Shive Spelling Bee

These students participated in the Shive Elementary School Spelling Bee. The first place winner was Maci Cooper; the second place winner was Joshua Leonard.

Others who competed include Abner Chao, Mason Heard, Caroline Turner, Gage Jackson, Garrett Jacobs, Brennan Dwinell, Allison Fink, Sophia Brown.


Bus Drivers of the Month

Rowan-Salisbury Schools Director of Transportation Judy Burris has recognized the following employees for exemplary service as bus drivers for December. A bus driver must adhere to all the duties and responsibilities set forth by the Rowan-Salisbury Schools Transportation Department and is nominated by his or her bus coordinator for this honor each month.

North area: Audrey Dennis North Rowan Middle School, North Rowan High School (Bus 134)

East area: Ed Vincent Morgan Elementary School (Bus 119)

West area: Nicole Ingersoll Cleveland Elementary School (Bus 311)

South area: James Lee Enochville Elementary School (Bus 113)

Salisbury area: Carman Johnson Salisbury High School, Rowan Early College, Knox Middle School (Bus 41)

Special Needs: Janet Menster (Bus 324)

Substitute driver: Billy Brown
