College Football: Livingstone loses 58-0

WINSTON-SALEM - Winston-Salem is a Division II powerhouse and proved it again Saturday with a 58-0 thrashing of Livingstone.
There weren't many highlights for Livingstone (2-6, 2-3) but Dorian Edwards had a game-high 11 tackles.
The Blue Bears defense gave the offense a scoring opportunity in the third quarter when Tyheim Pitt made one of his two interceptions, giving Livingstone the ball on the WSSU 21. The Blue Blears couldn't convert and made made the red zone only twice all day.
Former West Rowan quarterback Zay Laster connected on 18-of-40 passes for 149 yardsfor Livingstone.
Anthony Holland continued his good play with 70 totalyards (47 receiving, and 27 kick return).
Malcolm Childress and Kenneth White totaled seven tackles apiece.
Livingstone will travel to Fayetteville State next week for a 1 p.m. kickoff.

DOVER, Del. - Nick Elko threw for 245 yards and a touchdown and Delaware State's defense forced three turnovers in the Hornets' 24-0 win over North Carolina A&T.
BUIES CREEK - Jonathan Carkhuff passed for three touchdowns to help Davidson gain its first victory of the season against Campbell 28-21 Saturday.
Davidson (1-6, 1-3 Pioneer Football League) scored on its first possession of the game when Carkhuff found Reese Williams for a 23-yard touchdown. Carkhuff completed 31 of 44 passes for 340 yards.
SAVANNAH, Ga.- Antonio Bostick passed for four touchdowns and rushed for two more as Savannah State outlasted Edward Waters 42-35 on Saturday to snap a 13-game losing streak that was the longest in the Football Championship Subdivision.
Savannah State (1-6) trailed Edward Waters (4-4), an NAIA program, by a touchdown twice in the first quarter and the game was tied four times.
STONY BROOK, N.Y - Miguel Maysonet rushed for 169 yards, including a 52-yard touchdown, and returned the second-half kickoff 75 yards for another score as Stony Brook routed Gardner-Webb 41-10 Saturday in Big South action.
CHARLESTON, S.C. - Charleston Southern shut out Presbyterian in the second half to claim a 31-21 Big South victory.COASTAL CAROLINA 34, VIRGINIA MILITARY 7
LEXINGTON, Va. - Jeremy Height and a stifling defense helps Coastal Carolina dominate Virginia Military Institute 34-7 Saturday in Big South Conference play.
Coastal Carolina (3-4, 1-1) got off to a fast start and did not look back.
Jeremy Height scored first for Coastal Carolina on a 19-yard touchdown run. Height led the team in rushing with 97 yards on 12 carries.
