Rachel Crockett Kirby graduated with distinction from the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill, May 12, 2013, with a Bachelor of Arts in Art History and minors in anthropology and folklore.

A 2009 graduate of Salisbury High School, she was an Honors International Experience Scholar, a Buckley Public Service Scholar and member of Kappa Pi Honorary Art Fraternity.

The daughter of the Rev. Drs. Randal and Barrie Kirby of Salisbury, Rachel will start as an exhibit development intern at the Duke Homestead State Historic Site and Museum in June.
