Cabarrus bomb squad called in to detonate grenade at S. Church Street apartment
Carlos Ortiz unknowingly bought a live grenade inside a metal container he got from a local recycling facility. The Cabarrus County Sheriff’s Office Bomb Squad was called to detonate the device. He rents an apartment at 322 S. Church St., located just over his shoulder in the white house.
