Rowan earns berth in state tournament

Rowan County's American Legion baseball team clinched a berth in the upcoming state tournament thanks to a 9-4 victory at Randolph County on Saturday afternoon.

Rowan won the best-of-five Area III semifinal series 3-1 and will play either High Point or Mooresville in the Area III finals. The state tournament is in Greenville.
