PHILADELPHIA — Jayson Werth homered for the fourth straight game, Chase Utley hit an inside-the-park homer and Philadelphia beat Cincinnati 9-6 on Thursday night.

Jamie Moyer (8-6) allowed six runs and eight hits in five innings, but Philadelphia's offense bailed him out again. The Phillies have averaged 8.1 runs in Moyer's wins.

Werth went deep in the sixth for his seventh homer in 12 games. The Phillies became the second team in major league history to have four players hit 20 homers before the All-Star break. Raul Ibanez leads the team with 22, Ryan Howard has 21 and Utley and Werth have 20. The Toronto Blue Jays did it in 2000.

Utley circled the bases in the third after hitting a high drive that took an odd carom off the center-field wall.

Dodgers 11, Mets 2

NEW YORK — Manny Ramirez hit two RBI singles to key an early outburst against struggling starter Livan Hernandez, and Los Angeles' Randy Wolf earned his first win in eight outings.

Nationals 11, Astros 10, 11 innings, completion of suspended game

HOUSTON — An error by Houston second baseman Miguel Tejada in the 11th inning made former Nationals reliever Joel Hanrahan a winner in the completion of a suspended game.

Hanrahan was traded by the Nationals on June 30 to Pittsburgh as part of a deal for Nyjer Morgan, who scored the winning run Thursday. Hanrahan was pitching for the Nationals when the game was suspended by rain in Washington on May 5. He earned his first win of the season.

HOUSTON — Lance Berkman's three-run homer was one of Houston's 16 hits.

Cardinals 5, Brewers 1MILWAUKEE — Joel Pineiro scattered three hits in his third complete game this year and Ryan Ludwick hit a three-run homer in St. Louis' five-run eighth inning.

Marlins 14, D-backs 7Florida put together a 10-run eighth inning to roll.

American League BOSTON — David DeJesus hit a go-ahead two-run homer in the sixth inning and Kansas City rallied from an early four-run deficit and knocked Boston out of sole possession of first place in the AL East with an 8-6 victory Thursday night.

David Ortiz hit his 300th career homer for Boston.

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. — Rookie David Price outpitched Roy Halladay, and Carlos Pena snapped a fifth-inning tie with a two-run double that helped Tampa Bay to a three-game sweep.

Yankees 6, Twins 4

MINNEAPOLIS — Mark Teixeira ended a 23-game homerless drought and New York completed a season sweep of the Twins.

Teixeira connected on the first pitch of the fifth inning. It was his 21st homer of the season and first in 96 at-bats, dating to June 12 against the Mets.

Indians 10, White Sox 8

CHICAGO — Kelly Shoppach hit a grand slam and had a career-high five RBIs, and five Cleveland relievers combined for 42/3 scoreless innings to preserve the early lead.Ryan Garko had four hits, two runs scored and an RBI for the Indians, who won for only the sixth time in 23 games since June 13.

Mariners 3, Rangers 1

SEATTLE — Franklin Gutierrez hit a three-run homer in the eighth inning to lead the Mariners.

Ichiro Suzuki, who had three hits to raise his major league-leading average to .361, opened the eighth with a single off C.J. Wilson (4-4).

After two outs, Ken Griffey. Jr. walked and Gutierrez launched a 1-0 fastball into the bleachers in center field.
