Youth track: Salisbury Speedsters going to regionals

Several Salisbury Speedster stars qualified for AAU regional in Knoxville, Tenn., on July 9-12 during a track meet last weekend.

First-place finishes included:

Girls 10-year old 100 meters: Russell Payton.

Girls 10-year old 200 meters: Russell Payton.

Girls 10-year old 400 meters: Russell Payton.

Girls 12-year old 200 meters: Jalessa Smoot.

Girls 12-year old 400 meters: Jalessa Smoot.

Girls 16-year old 200 meters: Juanita Leto.

Girls 16-year old 100 hurdles: Juanita Leto.

Girls 16-year old long jump: Dasia McGill.

Girls 16-year old triple jump: Dasia McGill.

Girls 17-year old shot put: Alisha Bradshaw.

Girls 17-year old discus: Alisha Bradshaw.

Girls 17-year old javelin: Alisha Bradshaw.

Boys 8-year-old 100 meters: Jabari Dalton.

Boys 8-year-old 200 meters: Jabari Dalton.

Boys 8-year-old 400 meters: Jabari Dalton.

Boys 9-year-old 800 meters: Andrew Burgess.

Boys 19-year-old 100 meters: Justin Avery.

Boys 19-year-old 200 meters: Justin Avery.

Boys 17-year-old discus: Tavis Bailey.

Boys 17-year-old javelin: Tavis Bailey.
