NEW YORK— Chris Braswell had 20 points and 12 rebounds and DeMario Mayfield chipped in 17 points and 14 rebounds to lead Charlotte over Fordham 69-62 on Saturday.

It was Braswell's 20th career double-double moving him into sixth all-time for the 49ers.

Charlotte (11-11, 3-6 Atlantic 10 Conference) led 32-28 at halftime and held the Rams (9-13, 2-7) to 27.8 percent from the field (10 of 36), including just 2 of 14 from 3-point range in the second half.

Jamar Briscoe chipped in 12 points for Charlotte.

Davidson 88, Chattanooga 61

DAVIDSON — Chris Czerapowicz came off the bench to sink six 3-pointers and scored 21 points in Davidson's 88-61 rout of Chattanooga.

The Wildcats (17-5, 11-1) led 47-30 at intermission and never trailed thereafter. Davidson got 15 points from Nik Cochran, all coming on treys. Cochran made 5 of 9 shots from beyond the arc.

Teammates De'Mon Brooks scored 13 points and Jake Cohen added 11.

The Wildcats had a huge edge in 3-pointers, making 17 of 40 while Chattanooga was just 4 for 13.

College of Charleston 74, App St. 62

BOONE — Andrew Lawrence scored 24 points as College of Charleston capitalized on perimeter shooting to defeat Appalachian State.

Appalachian State (9-13, 5-7) was led by Nathan Healy with 12.

Ga. Southern 68, Western Carolina 65

CULLOWHEE— Jelani Hewitt scored 18 points and a layup by Willie Powers III with 1:40 remaining put Georgia Southern ahead to stay.

Keaton Cole led the Catamounts (10-15, 4-8) with 17 points and Harouna Mutombo had 16.

Furman 93, UNC-Greensboro 85

GREENVILLE, S.C. — Brandon Sebirumbi scored 20 points to lead six Furman players in double figures in a 93-85 win over UNC Greensboro.

Furman snapped the Spartans' seven-game winning streak.

East Carolina 82, Rice 68

GREENVILLE — Darrius Morrow scored 16 points and Maurice Kemp had a double-double to help East Carolina to an 82-68 win over Rice.

Kemp finished with 14 points and 11 rebounds — five offensive — for the Pirates (12-10, 3-6 Conference USA), who have won three in a row. Miguel Paul also had 14 points with a game-high six assists.

NC Asheville 65, Liberty 51

LYNCHBURG, Va. — Jaron Lane scored 15 points and Jeremy Atkinson tallied a double-double, leading UNC Asheville. Matt Dickey added 13 points, J.P. Primm had 12 and Atkinson scored 10 and grabbed 10 rebounds for the Bulldogs (18-7, 13-1 Big South Conference).

Coastal 71, Charleston Southern 58

CONWAY, S.C. — Chris Gradnigo scored a career-high 24 points off the bench, including a pair of highlight reel dunks, and Coastal Carolina (17-5, 10-2 Big South) won its fourth straight game.

Presbyterian 69, Campbell 67

BUIES CREEK — Al'Lonzo Coleman matched his career high with 29 points and grabbed 12 rebounds as Presbyterian edged Campbell 69-67 to win its second straight game after a seven-game skid.

Louisville 78, Rutgers 66

LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Freshman Chane Behanan hit his first 10 shots on the way to a career-high 23 points to go with 11 rebounds and Louisville beat Rutgers 78-66 for its fourth straight Big East victory.

Connecticut 69, Seton Hall 46

HARTFORD, Conn. — Connecticut did just fine without ailing coach Jim Calhoun. Ryan Boatright scored 19 points, Jeremy Lamb had 17 and the Huskies beat Seton Hall 69-46.

Memphis 72, Xavier 68

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Wesley Witherspoon and Joe Jackson keyed a furious Memphis (16-7) comeback over the final 6 minutes against Xavier (15-8) to add a quality win to the Tigers' resume in a 72-68 win.
