- VFW Post 3006 invites public to its third annual golf benefit Sept. 26 at Foxwood Golf Course. Benefit will support the VFW Veterans assistance fund designed to assist local veterans in need. Play not limited to just veterans of foreign wars. All players are welcome. $10,000 hole-in-one prize. Contact local VFW at 704-636-2104.
