- Dukeville Reunion, Saturday, Sept. 12, former Dukeville School building on Long Ferry Road. School open at 11 a.m.; covered dish lunch, noon. Folks who lived in the village of Dukeville or attended Dukeville School are invited.

- Salisbury-Rowan-Davie chapter of Livingstone College Alumni meeting friday, 7 p.m., Community Business Center, 1300 W. Bank St. All persons with raffle tickets are to make a report.

- Reunion of descendants of John Robert and Emma Ritchie Patterson Sept. 20 at Mount Mitchell Methodist Church fellowship hall, 1 p.m. Bring well-filled basket.
