After 8, too late
More towns should adopt the campaign the city of Concord has been promoting for Halloween: "After 8 Is Too Late." The city is encouraging families to complete their trick-or-treat rounds by 8 p.m. Saturday and even urging homeowners to turn off their porch lights then to discourage mischief-makers from approaching them for treats. That's safer all around. Halloween does not fall on a school night this year, but sensible parents and residents will still take this advice. On Halloween, not much good happens after 8 p.m.
