Socialist media rushes to condemn Sanford

Today, South Carolina Gov. Mark Sanford admitted to an affair. Because Sanford is a rising star of the Republican Party, MSNBC and most of the socialist media jumped on the bandwagon, ignoring their hero, Billy Bob Clinton. Sanford at least had the guts to admit his mistake, not using the tactics used by Hillary's husband under oath.

Sanford is not the president of the United States!

In today's sexually charged society, it's tough to remain faithful.

Chris Mathews is a joke — who would have an affair with an old man who still has blond hair? Tonight, ABC will be "in bed" with our current president. At least the Rowan Legion is playing at home; thus I will not have to watch American journalism continue its demise!

Teens have rights, too

I really think the Salisbury City Council has abused its power by imposing a stupid curfew on the kids of Rowan County.

What's next — the National Guard lined up on Main Street? The Constitution is slowly becoming useless. I have two teenagers, and whether you believe it or not, they have the same rights that the high and mighty members of the City Council have. My next letter will be to the ACLU, and I fully intend to seek justice.

Get ready to waste taxpayer money fighting this illegal ordinance. Of course, you are good at that because you do it daily.

Danger on the highwayI absolutely agree there are too many dangerous drivers on the highways.

Motor vehicle operators who don't drive safely apparently never think about or care how much they endanger their own lives, as well as other people.

Driving safely and paying close attention to traffic situations should be the only concerns on motorists' minds. Everything else, including cell-phone conversations, should be done whle not behind the steering wheel of a moving vehicle.

Here is an idea that might help to improve the dangerous-driver problem, or at least get most of them off the highway. Operators of all types of motor vehicles should be required to successfully complete a drivers-education refresher class before being allowed to renew their license.

Anyone who doesn't successfully complete the classes with a full understanding of the highway should not be issued a license.

Poll
What do you think of the legislature putting parts of Rowan County in three different congressional districts and two state Senate districts?
  • I like it; Rowan will have more members of Congress and the state Senate
  • I don't like it; it's hard enough to figure out who my congressman is
  • I don't care about politics, so it makes no difference to me
