Camera captures church lot burnout

A driver, perhaps with NASCAR aspirations, tried out his best burn out moves in an Enochville church parking lot.

He cranked out a lot of smoke and left rubber all over the lot. The peelout took place Nov. 24 at Piedmont Baptist Church, 5870 Wright Road, Kannapolis and was caught on a security camera.

Someone in a late-model gray Ford Mustang drove in circles and did burnouts in the parking lot around 4 p.m.

Church officials reported damage to the parking lot.

The Rowan County Sheriff's Office is asking that anyone who can identify the car and driver call 704-216-8700.
