Cub Pack 443 gets taste of Navy life

The Cub Scouts of Pack 443 at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Salisbury recently made a trip to Charleston, S.C., where they spent the night aboard the U.S.S. Yorktown.

Attending were Alex Blumenthal, Ben Blumenthal, William Engwall, David Holden, Harrison Parrott, Hans Roemer, Bo Rusher, Riley Dillon, Brody Dillon, Luke Brady, Aaron McGrail, Ty Buechler, Baron Wright, Keith Corley, Michael Hollar, Rohan Jagarlamudi and Bryce Mason.

The boys and their adult partners toured the ship, took a Charleston Harbor cruise, ate in the ship’s galley, watched the movie “Midway,” and slept in the crew’s quarters. A worship service was held Sunday morning on the fan deck of the ship.

Awards given at the last pack meeting included:

Tiger advancements

Ty Buechler: two beads towards his Tiger rank, archery and soccer belt loops, and the archery pin.

William Engwall: two beads towards his Tiger rank, archery and soccer belt loops, and the archery pin.

Bryce Mason: one bead towards his Tiger rank,

Deven Rhodes: two beads towards his Tiger rank.

Wolf advancements

Thomas Bristol: one bead towards Wolf rank, archery, chess & soccer belt loops and the archery pin.

Riley Dillon: one bead towards Wolf rank, archery, BB shooting and soccer belt loops, and the archery pin.

Gabriel Dufour: one bead towards Wolf rank.

L.T. Godinez: one bead towards Wolf rank, archery and soccer belt loops, and the archery pin.

Rohan Jagarlumudi: one bead towards Wolf rank, archery and soccer belt loops, and archery pin.

Aaron McGrail: one bead towards Wolf rank, archery, and & soccer belt loops, and archery pin.

Bear advancements

In November, the pack’s annual Trails End popcorn fundraiser will begin. Jake Parrott is Pack 443’s committee chair and Dave Roof is Cubmaster.
