An awareness service (Eduworship) titled "A Call for Justice, Care and Ministry" will be held at Hood Theological Seminary on Tuesday, Oct. 16, from 6-7 p.m. in Room 315 on the seminary's Salisbury Campus, 1810 Lutheran Synod Drive.
Organized by the Seminary's Community Life Committee and presented by Dr. Carolyn Buford, the focus will be on identifying and preventing domestic violence. Buford's presentation includes use of the movie "The Color Purple" to promote better understanding of domestic violence. A Hood alumna, (master of divinity degree, 2005), Buford earned the doctor of ministry degree from the Samuel DeWitt Proctor School of Theology of Virginia Union University in 2011.
