?SALISBURY - Authorities charged a third man accused of kidnapping and trying to rob two men in late September.
Travis Lamont Wilson, 22, of E. Horah Street, Salisbury, was charged Thursday with two counts of robbery with a dangerous weapon, the Salisbury Police Department said.
Marcus Chambers, 20, of Bringle Ferry Road, was charged days after the incident, which occurred on a Monday. He turned himself in to authorities.
Shawn Fredrick Kirkley, 25, of Fairson Avenue, was arrested a few days after the incident. He was charged with felony robbery with a firearm and two counts of felony kidnapping.
Two Salisbury men, Jake Miller and Justin Hunter, picked up Chambers and Kirkley on a series of stops throughout the city, investigators said. When the men stopped at a house on South Clay Street, a man approached with a gun and demanded money, police said.
The driver drove the men to Wilco-Hess at East Innes Street because he said he didn't have any money and needed to get some from the ATM.
Miller and Hunter went into the store and asked the clerk to call police. The suspects ran from the vehicle on foot.
Wilson is being held in the Rowan County Detention Center under a $75,000 secured bond.
All three men remain in the Rowan County Detention Center.
