Bounce the Cat Productions moves to Salisbury
SALISBURY - Rick Perry, an Internet marketing specialist and entertainment promoter, has moved his company to Salisbury from Palm Coast, Fla.
His business, Bounce the Cat Productions, specializes in social media and Internet marketing for entertainers and small businesses.
Perry started marketing on the Internet during its infancy in 1996 as an entertainment promoter and sold his first website development company in 2000 to BestNetPC in Florida.
As a promoter in Florida, Perry was responsible for the production and promotion of numerous Spring Break, Bike Week and Biketoberfest concert series, including the main stage at Daytona International Speedway during Race Week.
Perry has worked as promoter, representative or agent for bands and musicians including members of Megadeth, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Molly Hatchet, Pat Travers, Rick Derringer, Foghat, Marshall Tucker Band, Allman Bros. Band, 38 Special and Matchbox 20.
In 2004 Perry left entertainment to work for corporations looking to raise venture capital and take their companies public.
"I would interview the principal players of a corporation or business and then put together a program that they could take on the road and present in front of potential investors," Perry said.
His career came to an abrupt halt from a health crisis caused by an undiagnosed, preexisting blood clotting disorder.
Having relocated to Salisbury, Perry said he feels healthier than he has in a long time and is ready to get back into entertainment as promoter for bands, artists and small businesses.
He encouraged venues, clubs or organizations looking for high quality entertainment or promotion to contact Bounce the Cat Productions.
