•Cedar Grove gospel choir’s 53rd anniversary,Saturday, July 31 at 7 p.m. and Sunday, Aug. 1 at 3 p.m. Groups from in and out of town will appear. Cedar Grove is located on 2430 Hildebrand Road, Cleveland. The Rev Dr. Patricia Tyson is pastor.
•Car wash to benefit Camp Kesem North Carolina Duke Group at Bank of America, corner of Brenner and Statesville, Saturday 11am-4pm. Camp Kesem is a camp for children ages 6-16 of families coping with cancer. Funds provide children with one free week at camp. •Family reunionfor descendants of Solomon Eagle Sr., Sunday, Aug. 1, 1 p.m. at St. Matthews Lutheran Church Fellowship Hut, Bringle Ferry Road. Bring covered-dish.
•United House of Prayer for All People, kitchen open Friday and Saturday, 11 a.m.-5 p.m. and Sunday, 11 a.m.- 4 p.m.
