A Denver, Colo., resident who once took classes at Hood Seminary in Salisbury has filed an identity theft complaint with police here.

Albert McNeil told Salisbury Police that someone used his Social Security number in 2007 to work at Livingstone College part time.

McNeil, a native of Erwin, near Fayetville, told police he never worked at the college.

He said he was contacted by the Internal Revenue Service wanting him to pay taxes on the unreported income from 2007.

Contacted by the Post in Denver, McNeil said he commuted to classes at Hood in 2007 from Erwin. He said he obtained funds from Livingstone for the classes.

McNeil, who now works at the VA Hospital in Denver, said he tried repeatedly to get in touch with Livingstone College, but hasn’t been able to get a response.

A new state health rule gives restaurants the option of permitting dogs and cats in outdoor dining areas, so long as the pets are on leashes or otherwise restrained. What do you think of allowing pets in outdoor dining areas?
  • Definitely a tail-wagging idea.
  • Makes me want to barf.
  • I'll have to chew on it a while before deciding.
