Cub Scouts hold Blue and Gold banquet

Cub Scout Pack 351 recently held its annual Blue and Gold banquet and Boy Scout crossover ceremony at Shiloh Reformed Church in Faith.

After the invocation and blessing of the meal by Unit Commissioner Mark Williams, Cubmaster Don Stewart recognized Scouts for achievements for the scouting year.

The following awards were presented. A baseball belt loop was presented to Brandon Nichols, and a flag football belt loop went to Gunnar Michael.

Cub Scout World Conservation awards went to Michael Altmann, Peyton Diaz, Preston Diaz, Cole Hopkins, Garren Hudson, Brodie Johnson, Jacob Poston and Thomas Stewart.

Spencer Chandler received his Bear rank, and Avery Shull received his Arrow of Light and BSA fieldbook.

Arrow of Light medallions were presented to Chandler Basinger, Ethan Diaz, Jack Gardner, Sean Incardona, Trexler Cloninger, Jason Matthews, Avery Shull, Carson Sifford and Noah Wiles.

Graduating to Wolf were Jack Broadway, Logan Chilson, Gunnar Michael and Brandon Nichols.

Graduating to Bear were Michael Altmann, Peyton and Preston Diaz, Sean Hart, Caius Herron, Cole Hopkins, Garren Hudson, Jacob Poston and Thomas Stewart.

Anthony Incardona received a certificate of appreciation for his work with the God and Family program. Receiving certificates with leaders pocket knives were outgoing Webelos leaders Bob Matthews and Charles Diaz.

Graduating to Webelos 1 were Spencer Chandler, Colby Goodman, Evan Johnston, Gavin Talley and Tyler Wilhelm.

Crossing over to Boy Scouts were Chandler Basinger, Ethan Diaz, Jack Gardner, Sean Incardona, Trexler Cloninger, Jason Matthews, Avery Shull, Carson Sifford and Noah Wiles.

Each new Boy Scout was greeted by Troop 351 Scoutmaster Phil Koon and his staff and presented with a troop neckerchief.
