Humane Society needs food for pet food bank

The Humane Society of Rowan County is seeking pet food donations for its food bank. The biggest need is for dry dog and cat food. Cat litter is also needed. Donated food and pet supplies are distributed to pet owners who demonstrate the need of assistance in caring for their pets. Donations may be dropped off at any of the summer dog washes held at the back entrance to the Salisbury Mall. The dog washes will be Saturday, July 16, Aug. 20 and Sept. 10 from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m.
