SALISBURY — A missing teen who ran away from Nazareth Children's Home nearly 10 days ago was found early Friday morning when she ended up in the emergency room at Rowan Regional Medical Center.
Sequoyah Carpenter, 15, of Crescent Road, was treated at the hospital about 3:30 a.m. after sustaining minor head and neck injuries during a vehicle accident.
Capt. John Sifford of the Rowan County Sheriff's Office said Carpenter, who attends East Rowan High School, is currently with her grandmother in Rowan County.
She had been entered into the national database for missing persons after she ran away without identification, money or cell phone on June 6.
The Sheriff’s Office has closed the case.
