Fairley awarded WoodBadge
Eagle Scout Henry Fairley IV was presented with his WoodBadge at the monthly Rowan District Roundtable. Henry serves as an Assistant Scoutmaster with Troop 401 and an Associate Crew Adviser with Crew 401. Both units are at Sacred Heart Catholic Church.
Fairley is a Silver Award Recipient and a Vigil Member of the Order of the Arrow. His Troop Guide, Susan Culp, presented him with his WoodBadge Beads. Assistant Scoutmaster John Brunton presented Fairley with his WoodBadge Neckerchief, and Assistant Scoutmaster Ken Denaux presented him with his Woodbadge Certificate.
WoodBadge is the most advanced training available for Scouts. Upon completion, the Scout is presented with a certificate, a small tan neckerchief, a leather slide and two small wooden beads on a leather thong.
Troop 401 announces merit badges and ranks earned
The following Scouts with Troop 401 have earned merit badges for the first quarter of 2010.
- Cory Beaver: Snow Sports
- Joe Cornacchione: Camping, Snow Sports
- Nick Cornacchione: the Family Life
- Sam Cornacchione: Camping, Snow Sports
- Andy Hallett: CitC, Family Life, Personal Management
- Blake Lasker, Snow Sports
- Josh Lasker: Camping
- Ryan Lasker: Snow Sports
- Dylan Maher: Family Life, Personal Management
- Will Murdo merit badge
- Andrew Timmerman: Snow Sports
- Zack Williams: Art, Camping
Troop 401 also announces the following ranks earned:
- Tenderfoot: Ben Sunding, Andrew Timmerman;
- Second Class: Miles Bailey, Ryan Lasker;
- First Class: Joe Cornacchione, Sam Cornacchione, Josh Lasker and Zack Williams
- Life: Matt Gannon and Kevin Robinson
- Silver Eagle Scout Palm: Josh Brophy
