ROCKWELL — Authorities from four law enforcement agencies descended on two homes this morning to bust up what they called a marijuana growth and sales operation involving a father and son.
Rowan County Sheriff’s Office investigators arrested William Eugene Taylor, 115 Dutch Farm Road, after serving a search warrant and finding more than 30 marijuana plants in his basement and a closet, Acting Sheriff Kevin Auten said.
Auten said Taylor’s son, William Derrick Taylor, would also face charges after authorities served a search warrant at his 1007 Cannon St. Extension home and found more than an ounce of marijuana there.
Auten said the marijuana grown at the Dutch Farm Road house was sold at the house on Cannon Street Extension or delivered from there to customers. Some of those included customers from Iredell County, he said, and the Iredell County Sheriff’s Office took part in the morning raids.
The Salisbury Police Department and State Bureau of Investigation also participated in the investigation and home searches.
