Woman reports rape

A Salisbury woman reported she was grabbed off Statesville Boulevard and raped early Monday morning.

According to a Salisbury Police report, the 29-year-old woman told police she had been at a bar on Statesville Boulevard and later stopped at an Internet cafe.

Later, as she was walking along Statesville Boulevard, she told officers that a car pulled up and a man grabbed her and pulled her into the car and she was subsequently raped.

She described her assailant as a black man, weighing approximately 230 pounds with a normal build.

Police said alcohol was involved.
