Bill's Exterminating staff completes wood pest training
Two members of Bill's Exterminating Co. staff, Dennis Horning and Mark Trexler, achieved accreditation in wood destroying insect inspections at the North Carolina Pest Management Association's 60th annual technician's school.
Each January, this school is held in Raleigh in cooperation with the N.C. State University Department of Entomology and is one of the nation's largest pest control technician's schools.
This voluntary accreditation achieved through written exams ensures that Horning and Trexler have achieved advanced training in performing wood destroying insect inspections.
These inspections discover the infestations of termites, powder post beetles, old house borers and other insects to ensure structures are pest free. The reports generated are used during loan closings of property transactions.
"Beginning the WDIR Accreditation Program was a great step taken by NCPMA to raise the standards by which inspections are conducted," said Kip Peeler, CEO of Bill's Exterminating Co. "When a homebuyer is considering a property for purchase, seeing a seal of accreditation stamped on their inspection report will give them the peace of mind knowing an experienced and highly educated professional, like Dennis and Mark, have carefully inspected their future investment for wood damaging insects."
The North Carolina Pest Management Association is a nonprofit organization that exists to ensure its members receive the training and education needed to produce world-class professionals. The association provides continuing education classes for the state's pest management professionals and offers year-round technical and management education for its members through the Pest Control Technician School and regional workshops.
NCPMA members are dedicated to using the latest pest control technology and methods. Members research the best and most effective ways to remedy pest control issues even using methods that do not require chemicals.
Bill's Exterminating Co. is an active member of the N.C. Pest Management Association and currently employs five additional staff members with WDIR accreditation: Kip Peeler, Bill Peeler Jr., Don Godfrey, Tony Godfrey and Eric Correll.
