SALISBURY — Richard Alfonsi, a Google vice president and Salisbury native, defended the Internet giant’s upcoming privacy changes as good for users.
The privacy changes, which have drawn criticism from lawmakers and consumer privacy advocates, will begin March 1.
Alfonsi talked to the Post in advance of his appearance in Charlotte Friday. He will launch the North Carolina segment of Google’s international promotion offering free website design and web hosting for one year to small businesses.
