- Cabarrus County Board of Commissioners, 6:30 p.m., public hearing in the commissioners' chambers, 65 Church Street SE, Concord. Public hearing on the HOME program, a housing rehabilitation program for low-income elderly and disabled people that will be available in the unincorporated areas of Cabarrus. The county is expected to receive approximately $127,000 from HUD to perform approximately three rehabilitations.

Tuesday, Feb. 16

- Kannapolis Community Development Commission, 6:30 p.m., at Village Park, 700 W. C St., Kannapolis

Saturday, Feb. 27

- Intimidators National Anthem Tryouts, 10 a.m. at Fieldcrest Cannon Stadium, rain or shine. Minor league team is looking for a capella singers to start 70 games. Intimidators Job Fair is being held the same day. People who have performed at an Intimidators game in the past two years are not required to audition, but are asked to call and confirm their interest in singing again for the 2010 season.
