Man reported missing after jumping out of car

A 56-year-old man was reported missing after he jumped out of a vehicle and ran away.

James Edward Wagner was being driven by his sister, Jane Cline of Southern Pines, to a court hearing for Wagner involving a larceny charge on Feb. 12 when Wagner opened the car door and exited the vehicle.

When Wagner did not return, Cline reported him as missing to the Salisbury Police Department

Wagner, who suffers from Parkinsons disease, has not been seen since.

A Morgan Elementary School teacher was placed under arrest Feb. 12 for resisting a public officer.

According to the arrest report, Jacquelyn Louise Black, 47, was stopped by Salisbury Police Officer D.P. Fleming for driving with expired registration and inspection tags on Bringle Ferry Road.

When Officer Fleming returned to his patrol car, Black got out of her car and approached the patrol car asking questions. Fleming repeatedly ordered Black back into her vehicle.

When Black refused, she was placed under arrest and put in jail on $300 bond.

In other reports from the Salisbury Police Department:

- Riley Kelley of Kelley's Auto Repair reported the theft of 70 gallons of used motor oil from his shop at 2310 S. Main St. on Feb. 12.

- Salisbury resident Amanda Conte reported someone she did not know used her ATM card in Stanly County.

- Oddis Theodore Poole, of 5875 Stokes Ferry Road, reported two chain saws stolen from his carport.

- Roy Paul Pittman reported the theft of a trailer hitch, a pressure washer, jumper cables a chain saw bar and a battery charger from his home on 5820 Mooreseville Road.

- 30-year-old James Aaron Christopher, 232 N. Main S., was arrested Feb. 11 on a charge of trafficking heroin.
