The Salisbury-Rowan Head Start/Early Head Start programs are accepting applications for the 2012-13 school year for children up to age 5.
Families must meet certain criteria for enrollment. The purpose of the program is to provide children with a learning environment and varied experiences to help them socially, intellectually, physically and emotionally in a manner appropriate to their age.
Day care services are available for parents who are working or in school.
Those interested must bring the following information to a registration site: birth certificate, immunization record, Social Security and Medicaid cards, dental and health insurance cards, income verification, copy of disability and allergy diagnosis, physicals, Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) and Work First verification.
Applications will be accepted at the following sites from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.:
WEST ROWAN CENTER: 313 East Main St. (Allen Temple) Cleveland. Thursday, Feb. 23.
LIVINGSTONE CENTER: 414 Partee St., Friday, Feb. 24.
W.O.T. FLEMING CENTER: 412 West 15th St., Tuesday, Feb. 21.
EAST SPENCER CENTER: 301 Grant St., East Spencer, Friday, Feb. 17.
WESTSIDE CENTER: 710 Harry St., China Grove, Tuesday, Feb. 21.
WEST 22nd STREET CENTER: 2200 Runningbrook Drive Kannapolis. Friday, Feb. 24.
PRICE CENTER: 1300 West Bank St., Thursday, Feb. 24, and Friday, Feb. 25.
SALISBURY-ROWAN HEAD START: Central Office, 1300 West Bank St., Monday through Friday
