Home Instead Senior Care was recently named Small Business of the Year by the chambers of commerce in Rowan and Cabarrus counties.
The Salisbury office of Home Instead received the Rowan Regional Chamber of Commerce's Small Business of the Year Award at its annual meeting in November.
In January, the Cabarrus Regional Chamber of Commerce named the Concord office of Home Instead Senior Care the Small Business of the Year.
The award is based on a variety of criteria including demonstrated growth in employees and sales, innovation of product or service, response to adversity and evidence of contributions to community and civic-oriented projects, press release said.
"We were doubly thrilled and honored to be named Small Business of the Year in both of our offices," Jena Hare, Home Instead general manager, said in the press release. "We are proud to be a part of the Rowan and Cabarrus communities and especially proud of our CAREGivers who give a part of their hearts to each client we care for."
By winning this award, Home Instead will be entered in the statewide competition for the N.C. Small Business of the Year sponsored by the U.S. Small Business Administration, as well as the U.S Chamber of Commerce's award.
Home Instead Senior Care provides non-medical companionship and home care for the elderly. For more information, contact Robin M. Perry, community service director for Rowan and Cabarrus counties, at 704-636-2010.
