The Small Business Center (SBC) at Rowan-Cabarrus Community College is offering a course that gives entrepreneurs step-by-step instructions on how to start a small business.
The SBC will offer the REAL (Rural Entrepreneurship through Action Learning) course 6:30 to 9 p.m. on Tuesdays, Feb. 16 through April 13. The 10-session course costs $65.
The class will meet at RCCC's Cabarrus Business & Technology Center, 660 Concord Parkway North in Concord.
The REAL course will provide in-depth instructions on starting a small business in Cabarrus or Rowan County. Students will go from business idea to business start up, with the goal of completing a written business plan.
The course will also help students identify their strengths as an entrepreneur, assess the feasibility of their business idea, and examine important factors, such as start-up costs, effective marketing techniques, legal considerations, funding and others.
The REAL course aims to help entrepreneurs gain the knowledge and confidence needed to launch their dream business.
For more information about the REAL course and the SBC and its many programs, call RCCC at 704-216-3512, send e-mail to sbc@rowancabarrus.edu, or see the SBC Web site at www.rowancabarrus.edu/sbc/.
