KANNAPOLIS — Restaurant 46 chefs will cook up healthy dishes Thursday at the Kannapolis Farmers Market.

Executive Chef John Blumreich and Chef Michael Venendaal will be at the Kannapolis Farmers Market from 4 to 5:30 p.m. Thursday for cooking demonstrations. Using the fresh fruits and vegetables available from vendors at the market, the chefs will show how to prepare easy, quick and healthy dishes.

Restaurant 46, located in downtown Kannapolis near the Farmers Market, specializes in healthy dining. The market and demonstrations are free and open to all.

The Kannapolis Farmers Market is a joint project of the N.C. Research Campus and the Piedmont Farmers Market. The market is part of the Research Campus’ goal of promoting health and wellness in the community.

The Farmers Market is indoor, year-round and held every Thursday from 3 to 6 p.m. in downtown Kannapolis at 120 West Ave. Vendors offer a steady supply of fruits, vegetables, nuts, hams, jams, jellies, baked goods and arts.
