Congratulations Carson! : Monday, September 29, 2008 9:13 AM
I just want to say I am very happy for Carson. I am a supporter of North Rowan, but I do not have a problem being happy for any youth in our entire county, regardless of their school affiliation. Granted, selfishly, I wish they hadn't won their first game against us, but it happened and I was happy for Carson even then. I know their guys have been working very hard waiting on that first win. I am sad for our team this year because our players work just as hard as others in the county, they are just having a very bad year, and I hope their spirits are not too down. I hate to see people downgrade any youth in our county. Why do we do that to any of our youth? If you are an adult and you are doing this to any youth, SHAME ON YOU! Be happy for any accomplishment of anyone from our county. We are, after all, neighbors.

cowards and jealous people : Saturday, September 06, 2008 2:19 PM
some people can't stand the fact that Carson is improving and running a first class program. I can only hope that after 45 years, Carson will still be running a first class program. And unlike others, Carson wishes N. Rowan the best of luck. The Salisbury Post did a great job with the videos this year and I can't wait to see who they pick next to do the video on. But unlike some cowards who posted earlier, I will sign my name and not try to degrade any other school. Don't be jealous.Your time will come.

Well, whoopee, whoo. We beat a North Rowan team that wouldn't qualify as a decent jayvee squad any other year. Let's take the rest of the year off and spend it high-fiving one another and chanting "We are Carson!" (As opposed to chanting "We are North Rowan"?) What? Did you think Carson was going to exist indefinitely without winning a game? Sort of like the Washington Generals? (Go look it up.) We are so tickled for you people. Now maybe we won't have to watch more of these ridiculous videos.

I just know this is going to be the year! Watching you on Friday night at the scrimmade at J.M. Robinson only confirmed this believe. Never forget this famous quote and always hang onto your sense of humor even when things get tough: The reason women don't play football is because eleven of them would never wear the same outfit in public. -Phyllis Diller
