K-Fed: I'd rather see my kids than Britney's money

E-mail to a friend

NEW YORK (AP) - Kevin Federline says money was no object in his custody battle with Britney Spears.

Federline tells People magazine he vowed to "spend every last dime" to make sure that sons Sean Preston and Jayden James were OK.

"That's all that mattered. I didn't know how much power Britney had. That really scared me," he says.

Federline and Spears split up in 2006 after two years of marriage. The aspiring rapper later gained custody of their boys as Spears' behavior spiraled downward. Spears has said that things fell apart when Federline began focusing on his rap career. But Federline tells the magazine he was more concerned with the children.

"Not that I ignored Britney, but my kids are always most important," he says.

Normal? : Saturday, December 06, 2008 6:50 AM

I beg to differ, Jamie, there is NO SUCH THING as a NORMAL family. Is is all RELATIVE. Hate to break it to you dear, there will always be something that would categorize your family as abnormal/dysfunctional. You just do the best you can preferably with God's help.

What is a "normal" family? : Friday, December 05, 2008 4:00 AM

There is no such thing as a "normal" famly! Just look around you. Perhaps Britney's children have had suffer because their parents are in the limelight. Perhaps Britney never really got a chance to be a child. Do you remember she was "discovered" at 8 singing on a talent show? And, finally, do YOU have children? Should the eyes of the world be watching your every move concerning them? Don't be so fast to condemn her. Perhaps a little compassion and encouragement instead of people dwelling on the sensationalism and wanting to condemn her, would be a better thing do to help her be a better mom to her children.

to think of K-Fed as a better parent then Brit is scary. These kids should be placed for adoption so they can live with a normal family
