Main St., celebrates its tenth annual Emergency Responder Day Sept. 9 during the morning service, where Salisbury City and Rowan County emergency personnel will be honored. Emergency personnel that would like to be a part of this celebration need to be at the church by 10:10 a.m.
A video of the 9/1 001 events will be shown during the service. Salisbury Police employee and Stallings member Robin Allen, will provide special music. A steel beam from the Twin Towers in New York City will be on display.

They served as leaders in the youth group, worship service assistants, hand bells, choir members, and instrumental accompanists; participated in youth group (LYNC), youth retreat planning, youth productions, Witness of Grace pageants, organized and conducted fundraisers. They visited shut-ins, helped in church nursery, served homeless shelter residents, assisted in VBS and Kids of Grace, volunteered at church workdays, and served on mission trips.

This is a special Sunday because a time capsule buried 25 years ago will be dug up and the contents revealed. The Wittenberg Young Disciples buried it 25 years ago with Pastor Woodard.
The unveiling will be in the basement of the fellowship hall at 9 a.m. The basement has been remodeled and has a new concrete floor featuring a replica of The Woman at the Well statue on the church lawn. The youth that were members of WYD have been invited to attend the ceremony as well as the congregation.
Following the service is a covered dish lunch celebration.
