Jett Lane

A son, Jett O'Neal, was born to Katie E. Peninger and Brian O. Lane of Salisbury on July 28, 2008, at Rowan Regional Medical Center. He weighed 6 pounds, 2 ounces. Grandparents are Linda R. Davis and William Keith and Connie Peninger, all of Salisbury, and Stacy R. Lane of Mocksville. Lula V. Lane of Mocksville is great-grandparent.

Victoria Lowman

A daughter, Victoria Paige, was born to Amie and Matt Lowman of Salisbury on July 9, 2008, at Rowan Regional Medical Center. She weighed 7 pounds, 5 ounces. Grandparents are Tom and Evelyn Lowman and Steve and Diane Graham, all of Salisbury. Great-grandparents are Everette and Margaret Lowman and Gernie and Muriel Graham, all of Salisbury, and Hazel Hoffner of Mount Ulla.

Cooper Roberson

A daughter, Cooper Grace, was born to Raney and Randy Roberson of Salisbury on Aug. 15, 2008, at Carolinas Medical Center-NorthEast. She weighed 6 pounds, 13 ounces. She has a sister, Kara, 2 1/2. Grandparents are Carolyn Morgan and Marilyn and Chuck Watson, all of Salisbury.

Cardell Hill

A son, Cardell Scott, was born to David Cardell and Ashley Saine Hill of Salisbury on Aug. 7, 2008, at Rowan Regional Medical Center. He weighed 7 pounds, 15 ounces. Grandparents are Jeff and Vickie Saine of Salisbury and Donnie and Susan Hill of Gold Hill. Great-grandparents are H.G. and Reba Saine and Betty Sides, all of Salisbury.Roseanna Laxton

A daughter, Roseanna Marie, was born to Heather Leigh and Chris Shannon Laxton of Spencer on Aug. 3, 2008, at Rowan Regional Medical Center. She weighed 7 pounds 10 1/2 ounces. Grandparents are William and Terry Noles of Salisbury, and Ronelle Summitt and Jerry and Nancy Laxton, all of Spencer.

Brooklin Poole

A daughter, Brooklin Alizabeth, was born to Casey Blackwell and Jeremy Poole on Aug. 4, 2008, at Rowan Regional Medical Center. She weighed 6 pounds, 14 ounces. She has two sisters, Kaitlyn Blackwell, 5, and Madalon Blackwell, 2. Grandparents are Ruth Keys of Gold Hill, Tina Cromwell of Salisbury, Timothy Vaughn of Shallotte, and Darrel Poole of Gold Hill. Great-grandparents are Clyde Holt, Thelma Holt and Francis Poole, all of Gold Hill, Fred Painter of Pittsburgh, Pa., and Nancy Dixon of Philadelphia.

Austin Arrowood

A son, Austin Joseph, was born to Aaron Joseph and Christy Earp Arrowood of Hiddenite on July 28, 2008, at Iredell Memorial Hospital in Statesville. He weighed 8 pounds, 15 ounces. Grandparents are David and Sandy Arrowood of Cleveland and Chris and Robin Earp of Hiddenite. Great-grandparents are Gwen Arrowood and Dot Moore, both of Salisbury.

Mary Grace Antosek

A daughter, Mary Grace, was born to Lindsey and Steve Antosek of Salisbury on July 21, 2008, at Rowan Regional Medical Center. She weighed 7 pounds, 8 ounces. She has a sister, Maggie, 22 months. Grandparents are Diane and Robert Howard of Woodleaf, Keith Holloway of Cleveland and JoJo and Joe Antosek of Salisbury. Great-grandparents are Marie and Donald Wood, Joe Saleeby and Margaret Antosek, all of Salisbury, and Jean Holloway of Woodleaf.

Katelyn Murphy

A daughter, Katelyn Grace, was born to Brian and Valerie Miller Murphy of Whitsett on July 22, 2008, at Rowan Regional Medical Center. She weighed 7 pounds, 4 1/2 ounces. Grandparents are Ken and Linda Crowe Miller of Salisbury and Tom and Judy Murphy of Apex. Great-grandparents are Dr. and Mrs. Peter J. Wargo of Valencia, Pa. and Frances Murphy of Reading, Pa.
