Ryan Cook

A son, Ryan Gage, was born to Jessie and Adam Cook of Salisbury on June 25, 2009, at Rowan Regional Medical Center. He weighed 6 pounds, 12 ounces. He has one brother, Noah, 3. Grandparents are Monte and Nancy Egolf of Albion, Ind., and Mike and Margaret Bostian of Salisbury. Great-grandparents are Nelda Owen, Harriet and Junior Page and James Egolf, all of Albion, and Richard and Jeanette Kates of Salisbury.

Trent Smith II

A son, Trent Andrew, was born to Stephanie and Trent Smith of Salisbury on June 20, 2009, at Rowan Regional Medical Center. He weighed 6 pounds, 4 ounces. He has one sister, Tara, 9. Grandparents are Charles and Mary Gillespie and Edith Smith, all of Salisbury and Thomas E. Smith of Albemarle. Alta Pittman of Asheville is great-grandparent.

Emma Sellers

A daughter, Emma Louise was born to Kevin and Louise Sellers of Concord at Carolinas Medical Center-NorthEast on June 20, 2009. She weighed 6 pounds, 4 ounces. Grandparents are Jeffrey Krayenhagen of Germantown, Md., Lori Balogh of Plano, Texas and Debbie and Dennis Sellers of Kannapolis. Great-grandparents are Harry and Betty McCartney of Kannapolis, James and Carolyn Teal of Palm Bay, Fla., Ed and Ramona Anderson of Odebolt Iowa, and David and Karen Rodgers of Shannon City, Iowa.

Lenin Romero

A son, Lenin Gilberto, was born to Chrystal and Lenin Romero of China Grove on June 28, 2009, at Presbyterian Hospital. He weighed 5 pounds, 13 ounces. Grandparents are Patricia Castillo of China Grove, Hector Ayala of Buffalo, N.Y., and Lenin Romero and Dora Navarro, both of Spencer. Great-grandparents are Luis Castillo of Marietta, Ga., and Maria Cruz of Long Island, N.Y.

Sophia Bailey

A daughter, Sophia Abigail, was born to Elizabeth and Jonathan Bailey of Salisbury on April 25, 2009, at Carolinas Medical Center-NorthEast. She weighed 5 pounds, 1 ounce. She has two brothers, Elijah, 20 months, and Ryley, 5. Grandparents are Rebecca and Garland Bailey of Rockwell and Sheri and Brent Earwood of Kannapolis. Geneva Earwood of Kannapolis is great-grandparent.

Jackson Propst

A son, Jackson Davis, was born to Amanda and Jesse Propst of Rockwell on June 19, 2009, at Rowan Regional Medical Center. He weighed 7 pounds, 9.5 ounces. Grandparents are Kathy and Lloyd Buff Jr. and Sherry and Ray Daniels, all of Salisbury. Great-grandparents are Peggy Davis Buff and Joan Pepper Propst, both of Salisbury.

Luke Hannah

A son, Luke Anderson, was born to Matt and Laura Hannah of Salisbury on June 15, 2009, at Rowan Regional Medical Center. He weighed 7 pounds, 2 ounces. He has one brother, Jake, 2. Grandparents are Ted and Cathy Hannah of Salisbury, and Bill and Barbara Howard of Walkertown. Great-grandparents are Elizabeth Williams of Salisbury, Lester and Edna Howard of Winston-Salem and Dr. Bill and Doris Boyce of Stewart, Va.
