Spotlight on: Greg Lilley, performing at The Blue Vine Saturday

Charlotte NC's "Singin' Drummer" turned "Singin' Strummer" has held down the drum groove for some of the region's finest: Robin Rogers, Gigi Dover, Darlyne Cain, Mike Strauss, "Wildwood Flowers"/Volatile Baby and currently Alan Barrington, The Chad Mackey Band and The Amy Broome Trio.

Now, armed with only his guitar, Greg weaves off-beathumor and simplistic humility into his own songs.

Enjoy an engaging and entertaining experience, as Greg also puts his own twist on a diverse span of cover music, from Duke Ellington and The Temptations... to Keb Mo and U2.

Greg has performed on the stage of The Blue Vine before along with Alan Barrington, but this is his first time at the Salisbury night spot as a solo act.

He will be performing 9 p.m.-midnight Saturday, and there's no cover.

The Blue Vine is located at 209 S. Main St.
