Kneeling Gardeners
Kannapolis — The Kneeling Gardeners met on Monday evening, Nov. 28 at Trinity Methodist Church. Dr. Tamberlyn Blinsink, a native of Boone, was the speaker. Dr. Blinsink earned a doctorate in naturopathic nedicine from Bastyr University in Kenmore, Wash. She spoke on the effects of foods and herbs within the human body specifically related to the cardiovascular and immune systems, followed by a time of Q&A.
During club business, Kneeling Gardeners agreed to provide food for God’s Supper Table at Trinity Methodist Church on Feb. 22. Members also voted to purchase a bench to be placed in Veterans’ Park as that project moves along. The meeting adjourned with fellowship and refreshments provided by Rachel Edminston, Gail Puntch, Ann Rollins, Mildred Turner, Faye Owens, Kathy Cornell and Peggy Broome.
The Gardeners will meet next on Feb. 27, when Steve Morris from Concord will present a program showcasing Spring and Easter decorating ideas. All interested are invited to attend. For more information, call 704-933-1127.
