RCCC Autumn Exhibition at Rail Walk Gallery

The Rowan Arts Council is holding an art exhibition by Rowan-Cabarrus Community College students. Called the RCCC Student Autumn Exhibition, it opens with a free public reception today from 6-8 p.m. in the Rail Walk Gallery.

In its fourth year, the partnership between the arts council and the community college continues to flourish.

The exhibition provides Rowan-Cabarrus Community College students the opportunity to show their artwork in a professional gallery space in Salisbury's growing downtown arts district. The exhibition is sponsored by the Rowan Arts Council with support from the N.C. Arts Council and the National Endowment for the Arts.

RCCC instructors Jonathan Church and Jenn Selby encouraged all interested students to enter this exhibition, and this year students will display work in painting, photography, drawing, sculpture and new media.

Most artwork will be for sale, with all proceeds going directly to the student.

As Rowan-Cabarrus Community College now offers the only associate in fine arts degree in the area, the annual autumn exhibition is a great opportunity for students to share their creative work with the community.

The opening reception is free and open to the public. The exhibition continues through Nov. 21. Gallery hours are Tuesday–Friday 10 a.m.–2 p.m. and Saturday 10 a.m.-5 p.m.
