Salisbury High School is presenting Drama Night in the school's auditorium on Thursday, Nov. 19 at 7 p.m.

The Theatre I class will present "Mmmbeth" , a hilarious take on Shakespeare's "McBeth." Everything goes wrong, the witches take over the storytelling, Queen Duncan would rather open a donut franchise than die, Lady M is a bloodthirsty June Cleaver, and the murderers are preoccupied with creating a commercial for their services.

The Advanced Theatre class will perform "Hard Candy," which is about job applicants at Banff Enterprises who will do anything to claw their way up the corporate ladder. In a fast-paced series of hilarious interviews, the new recruits try every trick in the book — from bribery nepotism, the Old Boy Network to blackmail, seduction and mind control.

Admission is free.

Poll
What do you think of the legislature putting parts of Rowan County in three different congressional districts and two state Senate districts?
  • I like it; Rowan will have more members of Congress and the state Senate
  • I don't like it; it's hard enough to figure out who my congressman is
  • I don't care about politics, so it makes no difference to me
