Lee Street Live performers: Back, left to right: Kent Bernhardt, Bradley Padavick and John Brincefield. Front, left to right: Mary Ann McCubbin, Patsy Parnell, Becky Lippard and Carol Harris.

Lee Street Theatre will transform the Black Box Theatre at the Looking Glass Artist Collective into a night club for three nights to present "Songs from the Stage. "

Last February, Lee Street Theatre presented "Songs from Long Ago" to standing room only crowds for two nights. So this year, an extra performance has been added.

Joining the women who sang last year — Becky Lippard, Carol Harris, Patsy Parnell and Mary Ann McCubbin — are well-known male singers John Brincefield, Kent Bernhardt and Bradley Padavick.

Some of Salisbury's favorite singers will perform: Kent Bernhardt, Bradley Padavick, John Brincefield, Mary Ann McCubbin, Patsy Parnell, Becky Lippard and Carol Harris . Accompanying the singers will be pianist Matthew Brown.

The show will consist of group numbers, as well as duets and solos. Some of the numbers include "Big Spender" (Sweet Charity), "Till There Was You" (Music Man), "What I Did for Love" (Chorus Line), "On the Street Where You Live" (My Fair Lady), "Bring Him Home" (Les Miserables), "Luck Be a Lady" (Guys and Dolls), "Oh, What a Beautiful Morning" (Oklahoma), "By The Sea" (Sweeny Todd)

Performances are Nov. 19-21.

The show begins at 7:30 p.m. Doors open at 6:45.

Admission is $10. Beer and wine will be available.

Lee Street Theatre is not set up to take reservations, so come early and enjoy the art gallery, or shop in the LGAC artists' store.

Poll
What do you think of the legislature putting parts of Rowan County in three different congressional districts and two state Senate districts?
  • I like it; Rowan will have more members of Congress and the state Senate
  • I don't like it; it's hard enough to figure out who my congressman is
  • I don't care about politics, so it makes no difference to me
