Piedmont Players' 'Kudzu' opens Nov. 12

Kudzu

Piedmont Players Theatre presents “Kudzu: A Southern Musical,” at the Meroney Theatre in Salisbury.

The play opens Nov. 12.

Based on the comic strip by Doug Marlette, also well-known for his editorial cartoons, "Kudzu" is the story of a boy coming of age against the changing face of the American South.

The play was written by Marlette in collaboration with the Red Clay Ramblers.

Performance dates are Nov. 12-14 and Nov. 18-21, at 7:30 p.m. A matinee performance will be Nov. 15 at 2:30 p.m. The box office opens to the public Monday, Nov. 9.
