Musicians perform April 30 at Catawba

The Catawba College and Community Instrumental Music Extravaganza will be held April 30 at Catawba College. The event features two groups:

- The College and Community Band, with conductor Dr. Stephen Etters, will perform at 7 p.m. in Keppel Auditorium. Its selections will span 75 years of standard and newly published symphonic band literature (1925-2000), including Broadway and Big Band music.

- The Salisbury Swing Band, with Etters as musical director, will perform at 8:15 p.m. in the Crystal-Peeler Lounge, featuring musical selections from over 50 years of American popular dance music. A dance area will be available.

Refreshments are available at intermission and throughout the Swing Band program.

Admission is free.
