This past year, Robert Crum was awarded a 2011 Regional Artist Project Grant by the North Carolina Arts Council to complete a series of eight large figurative oil paintings. Now that the work is done, he is inviting the community to celebrate at his studio and gallery on Feb. 3 from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. The series of paintings will be displayed at this time in his gallery located at Robert Crum Fine Art, 116 East Council Street in Salisbury.
Helping with the celebration will be a Salisbury singer and musician, Willow Catherine. She has been playing the piano since age 6 and the guitar since age 15. Willow Catherine was formerly in the pop band “Hating Jesse.” She sings and plays a wide variety of music including country, folk, indie and pop, and she even writes her own country music. She most recently performed for Downtown Salisbury, Inc. at their annual New Year’s Eve celebration.
