Many of you may be planning to take a test for licensing, certification or career preparation that will advance your opportunities for the future. Whether it is for high school placement, college enrollment or an advanced degree, Rowan Public Library has full-length practice manuals for just about every need.
For undergraduate students, you will find the GED, the SAT, the PSAT/NMSQT, and most AP subjects from biology to psychology. Those preparing for graduate studies will find the GMAT, the GRE, the LSAT and the MCAT.
Two of the most requested test manuals are the ASVAB and the Barron’s Nursing School Entrance Exams. The ASVAB features a comprehensive review for the Armed Forces Qualifying Test. It contains three full-length practice tests with detailed answer explanations. The Barron’s offers one multi-part exam plus many shorter tests.
Prospective nursing students will benefit from the comprehensive coverage of virtually all topics related to nursing. It covers the NLN PAX-RN, NET TEAS, PSB-RN and the C-NET-RN exams.
Online resources are available through the Rowan Public Library home page. To access that information from home, you must have a valid library card with a PIN.
From the library home page, scroll down and look on the left side under “RELATED LINKS.” Find and click on “Online Tools.” When that opens, you will see on the right hand side of the page “Featured Resources” that can be accessed from home. The Learning Express Library is the link to click on.
The Learning Express Library page is easy to use. Each section offers practice tests, exercises, skill-building courses and other information to help you achieve your goal. Open each link to see the practice texts available for each area. Under the Occupation Practice Tests you will also find military and nursing exams as well as Civil Service, culinary arts, electrical, emergency medical services, real estate, etc.
