Police have arrested a man they believe is the second suspect that broke into the home of Bishop Harvey Rice on July 11.
Enricko “Neko” Stevenson McCauley, 20, was arrested Thursday and charged with one count of felony breaking and entering and received a $1,000 secured bond.
Police responded to Rice’s home on 414 S. Church Street Sunday, July 11, around 10:45 a.m. after a concerned neighbor called polic
e.
McCauley and
Cory Lamonte McConaughey were caught filling a trash container with items from the home. Rice was away preaching at a revival at the time.
As police were setting up a perimeter, the men caught on.
Deputy Chief Steve Whitley said the two men ran out the back door at full speed.
Police caught McConaughey on foot, but McCauley got away.
McConaughey was charged with felony breaking and entering, felony breaking and entering to commit a burglary and misdemeanor delay, resist and obstruct an officer, and was given
a $10,000 secured bond.
All of the stolen items were recovered, including a television, computer and jewelry.

ommended the neighbor for calling police and allowing them to stop the break-in and recover the goods.
Rice is a chaplain of the Salisbury Police Department.
