SALISBURY — A child custody battle spilled into the hallway at the Rowan County Courthouse Monday morning.

According to the Rowan County Sheriff’s Office, Brandon Clodfelter and Quatavia Becton were arguing in court over the continuance of a custody case when tempers exploded into a fight.

Deputies said a crowd was gathered around the two in the hallway and 23-year-old Clodfelter ran from officers when they arrived.

He was quickly caught by deputies and both were arrested and charged with affray.

Officers said they are reviewing video footage of the incident.

They were each released after posting $2,500 bonds.
