SALISBURY — No one was injured after shots were fired into an apartment at 209 E. Bank St. Monday night.

Salisbury Police said the 46-year-old tenant and two others were in the home at the time and heard a knock on the door shortly before the gunfire began.

One of the three inside the apartment looked through the peep hole, police said, before the shooting started but could not identify anyone. The tenant told everyone not to open the door and moments later four bullets were fired through the apartment window.

Police responded to the call about 10:35 p.m.

One person did scratch a hand on the shattered glass, officers said, but no one was seriously injured.

Salisbury Police said they are continuing to investigate.
